The Problem
Limited Racquet Sport Websites
The racquet industry does not provide many welcoming resources to easily connect trainer to trainee. Compared to more popular community sports like football or basketball.
Bad User Experience & Interface
If there is a resource available, the interface seems to be very unpleasing and difficult to navigate for some users; creating a boring and difficult user experience.
The Solution
Simple User Friendly Interface
Our goal was to create a user-friendly platform suitable for a diverse audience, spanning various age groups. We achieved this by designing a clean interface with uncluttered layouts and a clear typographic hierarchy, ensuring optimal readability.
Map Integration for Easy Networking
Making this platform, we wanted to ensure, trainers were able to connect with their clients as easily as possible. To achieve this, we integrated a map feature, allowing clients to easily locate professional racquet sport trainers in their vicinity.
All-In-One Platform
Our objective was to develop a comprehensive platform that seamlessly connects trainees with their coaches and vice versa. This all-in-one system streamlines lead generation, facilitates connections, manages scheduling, and handles payments.
Research
To ensure that our platform meets the needs of our target audience, we began our design process with extensive user research. This involved creating user personas, journey maps, and user flows aimed at understanding the wants and needs of our user base.
In the example below, you'll see how we designed a journey map and user persona for a coach looking to create their profile and become available to potential clients.

low fidelity
Using the insights gathered from our user research and interviewing actual racquet sport players in the area, we created low-fidelity wireframes to present the new platform to members of the racquet sports community. This allowed us to gather valuable feedback on how to make the platform user-friendly and ensure all important components were included.
As designers without firsthand experience in racquet sports, it was essential for us to have input from the community to ensure we captured all necessary functionalities.
We then continued making revisions based of the feedback and research we conducted; and moved forward to designing actual high-fidelity frames.

Coaches Dashboard User Experience

The high-fidelity screens presented are of the coach's dashboard. This interface allows coaches to input details about themselves and the services they offer. Once this information is provided, they become accessible to racquet players in their vicinity.
Pre-Launching the Platform

Finally, designing landing pages to generate buzz for the upcoming platform, driving traffic and encouraging user sign-ups ahead of its launch.
Two distinct landing pages were developed with specific audiences in mind:

-
Individuals interested in racquet sports who are
seeking a coach. -
Coaches in search of a fresh platform to offer their services.
